We’re thrilled to introduce the newest addition to our Central Oregon ranch — Karahty’s Bezt Kopy, affectionately known as Zip. Just before sunrise at 4:37 AM, I woke from my lawn chair to witness this beautiful Arabian foal experiencing the world for the very first time. Watching him stand, stretch, and take in his surroundings was a moment we will never forget.
Zip represents a long-held dream for our family. His sire, Karbon, carries bloodlines that are deeply rooted in my husband’s family legacy. For generations, our cousin has carefully raised, trained, and campaigned these exceptional Arabian endurance bloodlines — some of the finest in the sport of endurance riding. Now it’s our turn to carry that tradition forward here at our ranch in Tumalo, Oregon.
Within minutes of his arrival, the house began to stir. By 4:40 AM, my nephew and Lance were out in the barn aisle, rubbing their eyes and watching Zip stand for the first time and nurse. By 6:00 AM, most of the family had gathered with coffee in hand, admiring a strong, healthy foal and celebrating the continuation of a proud endurance horse breeding tradition.
Moments like this are what make ranch life in Central Oregon so meaningful. Raising athletic, beautiful Arabian endurance horses while living this rural lifestyle is something we never take for granted.
